Cliff Lee has been outstanding for the Cleveland Indians so far

Last season Cliff Lee started the season late due to a spring training injury last year and he never got it going on the mound. He even lost his job in the rotation after taking his cap off to the home crowd after getting drilled in a game. Lee is off to an incredible start for the Indians this season. He has started 5 games this season for the Indians and he is 5-0 with a 0.96 ERA and a 0.56 WHIP. The Indians need Lee to keep pitching well with Jake Westbrook out for a while and C.C. Sabathia off to a rough start.

Jhonny Peralta has been awful this season for the Indians

Jhonny Peralta has to hit well to be an asset for the Indians as he is not that good of a fielder. Peralta has played in 27 games so far this season for the Indians and he is 22 for 102 (.216 avg, .671 OPS) with 15 runs scored, 5 homers and 10 RBIs. The Indians need Peralta to get going with the bat because they don’t have a replacement ready to go.

Travis Hafner is off to a very poor start for the Cleveland Indians

DH Travis Hafner is off to a terrible start to the 2008 season for the Indians. He has played in 29 games this season and he is 23 for 110 (.209 avg, .650 OPS) with 12 runs scored, 3 homers and 17 RBIs. Hafner has also whiffed an amazing 30 times this season. The Indians have dropped Hafner in the lineup but it hasn’t helped yet. Maybe he needs a couple of days off to clear his head and work on his swing.
