The Cleveland Indians make a couple of roster moves to make room for Kenny Lofton

The Indians have sent Ben Francisco to the minors and they have designated infielder Hector Luna for assignment to make room for Lofton on the active roster.  Ben Francisco played pretty well for the Indians and he will either be back for them or traded for some relief help.  He played in 19 games for the Indians this season and he was 12 for 44 (.273 avg, .858 OPS) with 8 runs scored, 3 homers and 7 RBIs.  Hector Luna has been a huge disappointment for the Indians as he failed to make their roster out of Spring Training.  He has played in 83 AAA games this season and he is 81 for 323 (.251 avg, .659 OPS) with 39 runs scored, 6 homers and 35 RBIs.  The Indians have 10 days to trade or release Luna but they will likely find a team willing to take a chance on him.
