Grady Sizemore evolving into the best CF in the major leagues

24 year old lefty swinging Grady Sizemore is the best player on the Cleveland Indians, period!  He played in all 162 games last season and he scored 134 runs, hit 53 doubles, 11 triples, 28 homers, drove in 76 runs, stole 22 bases and had a .907 OPS.  He played 160 games in CF and he only made three errors while showing off outstanding range.  Look for Sizemore to even possibly be better this season if that’s possible.  In the near future the Indians might try to get another leadoff hitter so they can move Sizemore down in the line up a little bit and take better advantage of his impressive power.

26 year old Franklin Gutierrez would probably play CF if anything happened to Sizemore.  Gutierrez played in 90 games in AAA for the Indians last season and he hit .278 with 63 runs scored, 9 homers, 38 RBIs, 13 stolen bases and a .806 OPS.  He also played in 43 games for the Indians and he hit .272 with 21 runs scored and a .648 OPS.  He played in 7 errorless games in CF and displayed good range.  Look for Gutierrez to be prime trade bait for the Tribe if they think they need anything during the season.

Jason Michaels also could play CF in a pinch as he handled it pretty well with the Philadelphia Phillies defensively.
